The cliff top planting at Kangaroo Point Cliffs Park is watered from a new 100 mm service taken off the main in Main Street. It runs through a meter assembly and backflow device to the irrigation tie in, with a camlock point for water trucks.

The work was concentrated at the two ends of the pipe. At the street, the connection was a live tap into a 150 mm cast iron main still supplying customers, made under pressure with no unplanned interruption to anyone on it. At the park end, 22 metres of copper main crosses an exposed rock face with no trench to sit in. It was fixed to the rock and the existing retaining wall from height access equipment, with the public kept clear of the full run.
