Greenlinks Crescent Park Footbridges, Narangba

At 25.1 metres, a bridge's weight sets the size of the crane, the set up area and the route through the turf and trees. The Greenlinks Crescent crossing had no hardstand near the abutments, it spans a waterway, and residents use the paths every day. Composite fibre sections kept the weight low enough that both bridges went in without turning the park into a construction compound.

The two footbridges hold the park's path network together: a 15.5 metre span at the Waterway Crescent crossing and the 25.1 metre span at Greenlinks Crescent, both 2.7 metres wide. We designed and built both between August and December 2022, with kickrails to the deck edges and new concrete panels so each approach meets the deck without a step.
