Toomelah is several hours from the nearest fabrication and supply base, and the service ramp for the community hall was planned around a single trip. The Toomelah Local Aboriginal Land Council engaged us to certify the design, supply the material and build the ramp, on a programme running from design in March to construction in June 2025.

Composite fibre is what made one mobilisation work. The composite framing was pre fabricated and freighted flat, then assembled by a small crew with hand tools and light plant in the order the drawings show. Bolted connections with composite inserts and bushes are straightforward to make on site a long way from any support. Once the crew has gone, the ramp has no coating to break down, and the Land Council's upkeep is inspection and cleaning.
