Burpengary Soccer Boardwalk

Players, families and spectators at the Moreton Bay Central Sports Complex get from the car park to the soccer fields on a raised boardwalk. The low ground underneath is wet after rain and under water in a flood, and that is often exactly when a full car park needs to reach the fields.

We designed the boardwalk from Council's concept plans and built it for flood water moving at 3.5 m/s, with footings designed for saturated ground. Composite fibre handles that duty with no painting and no timber to replace. Council also received the set out as a control line with coordinates ready to load into survey instruments, and can re establish the alignment straight from its own records.
