Esme Avenue Boardwalks, Caboolture River Pathway
Three elevated boardwalks, about 361 square metres of deck, carrying the Caboolture River Pathway over low ground at Esme Avenue.
Where the Caboolture River Pathway at Esme Avenue drops onto low ground, walkers and riders stay on the path. Three elevated boardwalks, of roughly 65, 136 and 160 square metres, carry about 361 square metres of deck along the river and tie into the new concrete footpaths built in Council's wider upgrade of the riverside route.
The foundations go 8 metres deep, and they had to be right first time. The program ran in sequence with the head contractor: our foundations, their path pours, then our superstructure. Where two buried pipes cross the alignment, the affected bays span over them on composite bridging beams. The whole structure was certified together.
