At Brookfield Court Reserve in Nerang, the path structure carries horses and small mowing vehicles, so Council designed precast hollowcore concrete decks there, on piers with new abutments. The other reserves, Waterbird Park at Highland Park, Eddie Kornhauser Recreation Reserve at Elanora and Hargraves Park at Upper Coomera, got composite fibre structures with 316 stainless fixings.

Council specified those for a minimum 100 year design life with “particular attention to the high UV and saline environments”. All of the reserves were built at the same time, starting in September 2021. Every new structure went back on the old one's location and grade, and each site's certification, survey and quality records were kept on their own.
