Lawnhill Drive Footbridge, Nerang

Residents at Lawnhill Drive in Nerang cross on a new footbridge that links the existing pathways and runs smoothly onto them at both ends. The surrounds were turfed and watered until the grass was established, leaving the ground around the bridge finished and the crossing reading as part of the path.

City of Gold Coast had the bridge designed and built by a single team, accountable from the first survey through to the accepted documentation. The bridge carries additional deck joists for higher point load capacity, designed, certified, supplied and installed by that same team, and its certification covers the full capacity.
