Pimpama Sports Hub Accessible Boardwalk and Stairs

City of Gold Coast expects the Pimpama Sports Hub to draw close to a million visitors a year, and its overflow carpark sits above the main site. Our accessible composite fibre boardwalk is at least 1.5 metres wide, with a direct stair beside it. Visitors can get from their car to the perimeter walking track either way.

Council set a 100 year design life for the structure, and that one number decided most of the detail, down to fixing every bearer and joist with stainless steel. The reserve is lakeside, so all cut and drilled material was captured on site and taken to an approved waste facility.
