Village Green Boardwalk, Palmview

Once the Palmview estate fills with houses, a structure in its drainage reserve will be hard to reach for maintenance. The boardwalk that carries Stage 7 residents across that reserve has no coating, timber or corroding connections to come back for, and gives them a straight walk to the rest of the estate on a 3 m wide path.

The ground varies along the reserve, and the deck had to hold one fixed level for its full length, with bridge sections built into the run where the ground falls away. The alignment was surveyed first, and every foundation position and substructure height was set to the ground as found. Light 10 m composite joists went in without heavy plant standing on the soft ground. We installed the Wagners CFT structure.
